I created Emerald Wave to capture a sense of calm confidence, something that’s steady, but always moving. The sea turtle has this peaceful way of pushing forward no matter what’s around it, and I wanted to bring that feeling into the painting.
I used smooth brushstrokes and deep greens to create a soft, flowing motion, almost like the turtle is carving its path through the water. It’s not dramatic or rushed; it just keeps going. That quiet determination is something I really connect with.
